Brake fluid is hygroscopic — it pulls moisture out of the air. After a few years that water lowers the boiling point, causes a soft pedal on long downhills, and corrodes calipers and ABS parts from the inside. A flush replaces every drop, and it's one of the most skipped services on cars we see.

Brake Fluid Flush: common questions
Is a brake fluid flush really necessary?
Yes — nearly every manufacturer specifies it at two- or three-year intervals. It's cheap, and it prevents very expensive caliper and ABS module failures.
What's the difference between DOT 3 and DOT 4?
DOT 4 has a higher boiling point and is required on many newer vehicles. We use whatever your reservoir cap specifies; mixing them down is a mistake.
Will this fix my soft brake pedal?
If the softness is from old, water-logged fluid or air in the lines, yes. If a caliper or master cylinder is leaking, the flush will reveal it and we'll show you.
