Pricing
Quoted before we start. Never padded after.
The same brake job costs different money on a Civic and a Silverado, so we don't publish a price list that would be wrong for your car. Here's exactly how the number gets built.
The four parts of every quote
- Diagnostic visit. A flat fee to come out, test, and tell you what's wrong. Applied to the repair when we do it. If you already know what you need (a battery, brake pads), there's no separate diagnostic.
- Labor. Billed by standard book time — the same labor guide shops use — at a rate between an independent shop and a dealership, closer to the independent. A stuck bolt is our problem, not yours.
- Parts. Quoted at a fair markup. OEM or premium aftermarket, your choice; we'll say when one is clearly better value. Customer-supplied parts are fine, but we can't warranty them.
- Travel. None inside about 30 minutes of Statesville. A small fee on the outer ring (Winston-Salem, Lexington, Wilkesboro, north Charlotte) that we confirm before booking.
Rough tiers
| Tier | Examples | Where it lands |
|---|---|---|
| Quick maintenance | Oil changes, filters, wipers, bulbs, tire rotation, fluid top-offs | Comparable to a quick-lube — without the trip |
| Common repairs | Batteries, brakes (one axle), belts, thermostats, sway bar links, sensors, EVAP parts | Low to moderate; parts are the main variable |
| Mid-size jobs | Alternators, starters, water pumps, radiators, A/C leak repair, struts, control arms, wheel bearings | Moderate; quoted after diagnosis |
| Larger jobs | Timing belts, fuel pumps, A/C compressors, catalytic converters | Higher tier; still well under dealer rates |
Every one of these gets a real dollar figure before we touch the car. Text 704-495-7855 with the year, make, model, and the job and we'll quote it.
What you won't see
- Shop supply fees, environmental fees, or "misc" lines
- Weekend or evening surcharges
- Line items you didn't approve

FAQ
Questions people ask
Do you take cards?
Yes — card, cash, or digital payment, when the work is done.
Is the diagnostic fee refunded if I do the repair?
It's applied toward the repair, so you don't pay it twice.
Can you give me a price over text?
For jobs where the part and labor are known — battery, brakes, plugs — yes. For diagnostics, we quote after we test.
What if the repair needs a second visit for parts?
No second trip charge. That's on us.
